Texas Cattle Dog Rescue

Texas Cattle Dog Rescue rescue consists of a few founding members and a number of fosters and volunteers across Texas. We are a small, but dedicated group that focuses on saving as many Australian Cattle Dogs (heelers) as possible as well as educating the public about the breed. Our mission is to rescue the shocking number of heelers euthanized in shelters. We rescue heelers from the city and county shelters and on the streets throughout Texas. We match each rescued dog with a forever home where he/she will be loved, cared for, and fully enjoyed and appreciated. Educating current and future owners is a key focus. We believe pets should be spayed and neutered to reduce pet over population and all dogs we place are fixed. Founded in 2009, we've rescued more than 300 dogs. We're an all volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization.

Darfur Women Network - DWN

The Darfur Women Network (DWN) was founded in November, 2007 by Darfuri native Mastora Bakhiet, who now serves as President and CEO of DWN's Board of Directors. The DWN is led by people from Darfur for the first time in the history of the organization. DWN believes that the expertise and support of Darfuris and their sincere friends are foundation for the DWN to grow and effectively achieve its mission. Our mission is to raise public awareness, provide educational outlets, use specialized programming, assist and encourage refugee women, girls and families displaced by the Darfur conflict so they may re-establish personal empowerment and flourishing communities in the face of adversity. Darfur Womens Network, Inc. works with both refugees in Chad and those who have immigrated to the United States.

Global Foundation for First Responders

Each year brave men and women providing safety and protection will lose their lives in the line of duty. In 2017, line of duty deaths are up 23 percent over the previous year* leaving more families to care for across the U.S. There are over 70,000 state, local, tribal and federal agencies that support public safety and emergency response, made up of over 10 million first responders. First responders are vital to the security of our nation. During emergencies of any kind, these men and women stand ready to serve without hesitation. The mission of The Global Foundation for First Responders is to provide much needed services during their time of need. Educate Our State is a grassroots, parent-led organization educating and uniting Californians to advocate for systemic change that will provide all students with a high quality education.
